Bacteria's
- Information of Interest
Pseudomonas,
a genus of gram-negative bacteria that includes several free-living
species of soil and water and some opportunistic pathogens,
as Pseudomonad aeruginosa, isolated from wounds, burns, and
infections of the urinary tract. Pseudomonades are notable
for their fluorescent pigments and their resistance to disinfectants
and antibiotics.
E.coli, a common rod-shaped bacillus,
Escherichia coli, normally found in the intestinal tract,
which may cause a clinical infection if present in other parts
of the body, such as the bladder; also used as an indicator
of faecal pollution of water. Is often found on many other
parts of the body depending on a person's hygiene. After a
person has used a spa or a bath, they will have a very fine
layer of E.coli bacteria over their body, which by the way
is not harmful to a normal healthy person.
Staphylococcus, Any bacterium of the
genus Staphylococcus in which the individual organisms form
irregular clusters.
All the above diseases can lead to major
health problems and are not something to be taken lightly.
